Super Directions for Business - further information

Choice of investment

Employees have a range of different needs, investment knowledge and attitudes towards investment risk. In recognition of this, Super Directions for Business offer a wide range of investment options and managers to choose from.
  • Diversified portfolios – Your employees select the portfolio which best suits them – one that matches their risk profile. By selecting a multi-manager diversified portfolio with pre-determined asset allocation, they will spread their risk across a number of investment sectors and the investment managers with complementary styles of management. For further details talk to your financial adviser.
  • Sector/Specialist portfolios – For those employees who have a high degree of investment sophistication or are prepared to seek professional advice, they may wish to select a number of sector and specialist portfolios. This way they manage the risk across managers, investment sectors and investment styles.
  • Default portfolio – To cater for employees who choose not to elect a personalised investment strategy for their fund the Multi-manager Balanced portfolio investment strategy will apply.
  • Protection portfolio – Members whose balances are less than $1,200. Members will not be charged a member fee or a contribution fee (and any contribution commission will not be payable on contributions). Group Life premiums will be charged if applicable. The underlying investment strategy for this portfolio (managed by AllianceBernstein) involves investing in money market securities, which may include bank bills, floating rate notes and securities issued by major banks.

Industrial Relations Consideration

Many companies operate under either a State or Federal Award. If an employer is subject to an Award there may be super provision requirements as part of that award. To ensure your company does not breach your award, AXA can provide assistance in this area.
