Product information update
Changes to investment strategy - currency management
The Fund has historically provided scope for some hedging of foreign currency back to the Australian Dollar. In October 2008, this scope was increased to allow for other cross currency positions to be included.
From December 2009 currency activity for WGEV has been limited to Australian Dollar hedges. We will no longer be cross trading other currencies. Foreign currency exposures may be hedged back to the Australian Dollar up to a total of 30% of the value of the portfolio.
Changes to the buy/sell margin
Effective 1 April 2007, the Fund’s buy margin will be decreased from 0.35% to 0.20%. The buy margin will be applied to all new investments into the Fund. In addition, the Fund’s sell margin will be decreased from 0.35% to 0.20%. The sell margin will be applied to all redemptions from the Fund.
