Cash Management Trust

Recently, we undertook a review of our entire retail unit trust which has led to our decision to close the Cash Management Trust- to new business.

The closure is effective from 1 December 2010 and is in line with AXA's philosophy of only offering commission free offers. From this date AXA will no longer accept applications for investment from new clients.

We are closing the Fund to new business in recognition of a decline in market demand for retail unit trusts. New flows into these products are generally sourced from platform based offers and there have been very few new direct clients into the Fund in the last 2 years.

We believe this decline can also, in part, be attributed to advisers recommending their clients invest in retail platform offers which provide investors a greater selection of funds to choose from. Importantly, these Funds remain open to new and existing investors via Generations and/or via our wholesale unit trust range.

Existing direct investors will not be affected and may continue to transact on their account. This means they can continue to make additional investments, reinvest income (distributions) and can continue to make withdrawals.
